IEC 62620

The performance standard for industrial lithium cells and batteries: how to measure and declare capacity, endurance, internal resistance and self-discharge, so that datasheets from different makers can be compared.

Example

Stationary, industrial and product standards: an example situation

A cell-level test does not establish fire performance or commissioning requirements for a complete installation.

Read IEC 62620 alongside Capacity test in this context. A defined capacity test with specified charge, rest, discharge and cutoff conditions, usually a full CC-CV charge, a rest, and a C/3 or lower discharge to the lower cutoff at 25 °C. The delivered ampere-hours are the cell’s measured capacity.
