Remanufacturing and repair
Restoring a pack to its original duty by replacing failed or weak modules, cells, electronics or seals, then retesting it. It keeps the most value of any end-of-life route, and depends on packs that can be opened and on cells that can be matched.

Example
Recycling and end of life: an example situation
High mass recovery alone does not establish battery-grade purity or refining energy demand.
Read Remanufacturing and repair alongside Battery triage in this context. Deciding what a returned battery is good for — repair, reuse, repurposing or recycling — from its history, a visual and electrical inspection and a quick state-of-health measurement. Fast, reliable triage is what makes second life economic.
