IEC 61000-6-2 and 61000-6-4

The IEC generic EMC standards for industrial environments: 61000-6-2 sets immunity to electrostatic discharge, bursts, surges, radiated and conducted RF and voltage dips, and 61000-6-4 limits emissions. They apply when no product-specific EMC standard exists, and battery-operated apparatus in industrial locations is explicitly within their scope.

Example

Stationary, industrial and product standards: an example situation

A cell-level test does not establish fire performance or commissioning requirements for a complete installation.

Read IEC 61000-6-2 and 61000-6-4 alongside Battery management system in this context. The electronics and software that keep a battery inside its safe window: measuring every cell voltage and many temperatures, estimating SOC and SOH, balancing cells, computing current limits, controlling the contactors and reporting over the vehicle network.
