Controlled voltage source

An ideal voltage source with an optional typed command input.

Behavior

The source enforces p-minus-n terminal voltage from its command signal, or voltageV when no command is connected. The network determines its current.

Equations and rules

  • V_p - V_n = command, or voltageV when unconnected

Limits and interpretation

  • The RC example includes a capacitor: transient current varies and source voltage is not always resistor voltage.
  • This generic circuit does not identify cell parameters from measurements.
