Thermally conductive adhesive
An adhesive loaded with ceramic filler that both bonds cells to the cooling plate or tray and conducts their heat, typically at 1–3 W/(m·K). Unlike a gap filler it carries load, which suits cell-to-pack designs but makes cells hard to remove for repair or recycling.

Thermal management and heat transfer: an example situation
Equal total heat in different layouts can produce different gradients. Average temperature can miss a hot spot.
Read Thermally conductive adhesive alongside Cell-to-pack in this context. Building the pack directly from cells without the intermediate module, using large-format cells that bear load themselves. It raises the cell-to-pack ratio and cuts parts, at the cost of making the pack harder to service.
