Structural adhesive
A load-bearing adhesive, usually epoxy, polyurethane or acrylic, that bonds cells to each other, to the tray or to the lid so the cell block becomes part of the structure. Cell-to-pack and cell-to-chassis designs rely on it, at the price of cells that are hard to replace or to separate for recycling.
Example
Modules, packs and battery management: an example situation
Twelve 3.6 V, 5 Ah cells in 6s2p give 21.6 V, 10 Ah and 216 Wh nominally before other restrictions.
Read Structural adhesive alongside Cell-to-chassis in this context. Integrating the cells into the vehicle floor itself, so the battery enclosure is the chassis and the cells help carry its loads. It saves mass and height but binds the battery to the car for life.
Use in Lemonergy
Make series/parallel architecture explicit.
This is a reference concept. No executable Lemonergy block has been verified for this term.
