Reference performance test
A fixed set of measurements — capacity, resistance by pulse, sometimes impedance — repeated at intervals during an aging test to track state of health under identical conditions. Everything between RPTs is the aging itself. [1]
- Abbreviation
- RPT
- Also called
- check-up
Example
Testing methods: an example situation
Resistance immediately after a current step can differ from a ten-second value because slower polarization contributes.
Read Reference performance test alongside Accelerated aging test in this context. Aging cells faster than in service — at higher temperature, higher SOC or higher rate — and extrapolating to real conditions with a model such as Arrhenius. The extrapolation only holds if acceleration does not change which mechanism dominates.
Use in Lemonergy
