EVCC and SECC
The two ends of high-level charging communication: the electric vehicle communication controller in the vehicle and the supply equipment communication controller in the charger. They exchange limits, schedules and authorisation over power-line communication on the control-pilot wire.

Example
Charging infrastructure: an example situation
A 100 kW model request does not establish real voltage, current, connector or negotiation compatibility.
Read EVCC and SECC alongside Charging control unit in this context. The vehicle-side controller that manages charging: it detects the plug, talks to the charging station over the control pilot or ISO 15118 and DIN 70121, and passes the current and voltage limits the BMS allows. In some bus and truck architectures CCU also names a central or cluster control unit, so the system diagram decides.
