Cycler file formats

The native files of battery testers: Neware .nda and .ndax, Arbin .res, BioLogic EC-Lab .mpr and .mpt, Maccor raw and exported files, and others. Each stores the same time, voltage and current data differently, which is why open readers and the Battery Data Format exist.

Example

Data, communication and electronics: an example situation

2500 in a log might mean 25.00 °C, 2.5 V or raw counts. Units and scale must accompany the value.

Read Cycler file formats alongside Battery Data Format in this context. An open, tool-independent format for cell-test time series — time, voltage, current, temperature, cycle and step with agreed names and units — promoted by the Battery Data Alliance so data from different cyclers can be shared and compared without conversion scripts.
