Original teaching contract

These six examples replace the retired externally seeded battery, RLC and iron-rod examples. This is a change of mathematical contracts, not a rename of their inputs or results. No old parameter row, comparison trajectory or figure is an input to these examples. The previous release remains identifiable in version history; its numerical payloads are not bundled in the new release.

The two-RC example uses Lemonergy's independently authored synthetic pulse module. Its 4 V open-circuit voltage, 12 Ah capacity, 0.6 initial SOC and 20 °C ambient are hypothetical labels. The forward graph uses fixed resistances of 12, 6 and 18 mΩ and time constants of 3 and 24 seconds. Its pulse durations and amplitudes separately excite both time scales. The calibration/holdout exercise is distinct from this prepared forward graph. No physical cell is identified.

The RLC example changes to a series circuit with zero initial energy, an 8 Ω resistor, 0.4 H inductor, 0.002 F capacitor and 10 V ideal step. The underdamped closed-form solution is derived from that circuit's two differential equations. These choices make damping and oscillation visible in a short teaching window.

The four thermal examples use hypothetical positive thermal resistances, capacities and conductances. They use no named material, rod geometry, density or published material-property row. Their answers follow directly from energy balance, Ohm's-law thermal analogy, Newton cooling and a first-order ODE.

synthetic-validation-factory.js defines the models, analytical comparisons and fixed error gates. synthetic-pulse-reference.js computes pulse responses by superposition of every current edge, independently of the native ODE solver. tools/generate-synthetic-reference-evidence.mjs executes the graphs against the supplied public Rust/Wasm artifact and saves every accepted output point. The archived model, run, graph checksum and source hashes bind each published plot to that execution. Figures are original generated diagrams and numerical plots, explicitly labelled as such; they are not application screenshots.

Passing these checks establishes numerical consistency for these prescribed equations. It does not establish measured accuracy, component suitability, safety, certification or equivalence to an external simulator. Scientific references elsewhere retain their own scopes and are not claimed as the source of these independently chosen numerical inputs.
