LEMONERGY DESIGN · REVISED PROPOSAL · 25 OCTOBER 2026

One Design island.
Different application experiences.

Preserve the original identity and detailed 3D models. Make the machines visible, and let the selected application determine the questions, mission, visual context, and results.

This document proposes product and engineering changes. The accompanying local preview demonstrates navigation and presentation; the live application and its deployment have not been modified.

01 · KEEP WHAT WORKS

Change the Design experience.

The homepage and four islands remain: Learn, Data, Design, and Monitor. Simulation, mission playback, digital-twin work, and Garage remain within Design. The approved “What are you powering?” cards, original Lemonergy logo, neutral surfaces, blue accents, and Light/Dark choice are retained.

The shared advanced pack editor remains useful. It should open with a persistent application, machine, and mission heading, with relevant tools prioritized. An expert can still move into the common cell, topology, component, and analysis tools.

02 · VERIFIED FINDINGS

Three problems need different fixes.

  1. The earlier preview omitted the larger detailed car showroom. The separate showroom branch preserves 72 artist car entries: the original 22 plus 50 additions. Two entries are blocked, leaving 70 candidates eligible for the existing hosted viewer; eligibility does not prove current loading, exact trim fidelity, or engineering suitability. The earlier total of 28 described only a narrow selection of 22 engineering donor records, 2 vessel studies, and 4 robot applications. It was not the full Garage inventory.
  2. Two different 3D systems were conflated. The artist showroom uses original detailed models hosted in Sketchfab, with source links and creator credits. The live designer’s separate Godot Garage reports its renderer unavailable, and garage3d/build/index.html returns the site’s 404 page. Repairing that Godot export does not restore the larger artist catalog by itself. The recovered artist viewer was checked in this local preview: the original Tesla Model 3 and expansion BMW i4 rendered successfully. The BMW model also responded to orbit controls in its original hosted viewer.
  3. Different applications share the same workbench framing. The presets do change requirements and starting pack sizing on a fresh launch. However, the common layout makes that hard to see. In addition, changing only the URL fragment of an already-loaded workspace does not rerun initialization; a saved URL containing cell and series/parallel values can intentionally override a new preset.

Fresh live launches were compared: Drone opened with a 250 Wh requirement and a 6S4P, 24-cell starting pack; Wearable opened with a 1.1 Wh requirement and a 1S5P, 5-cell starting pack. This confirms different preset behavior despite the shared interface. It does not establish which state transition caused every instance of the “same design” observation. These are starter estimates, not engineering validation. Source references ↓

03 · THE CUSTOMER JOURNEY

Application → machine → mission → battery response.

1

Choose the application

Keep the eight familiar cards. Selecting one opens a visibly relevant brief.

2

Choose the machine

Select a donor car, vessel, or robot; distinguish subtypes such as drone and eVTOL.

3

Define its work

Ask for a route, flight, voyage, work cycle, or load profile according to the selection.

4

Review the response

Show the original scene and application-specific results, then expose detailed engineering tools.

“Run a mission” means execute a supported calculation. “Replay” means play or scrub its completed result. Driving, flying, steering, and interactive robot commands are a later feature, requiring controls connected to a solver. The current inspection viewer and trace player should not be presented as that feature.

04 · WHAT CHANGES FOR EACH APPLICATION

The first screen should answer a different question.

ApplicationFirst screen and inputsVisual context and primary results
Road vehicles
EV · bus · kart · Formula Student · F1
Choose a vehicle and duty. Road use asks for distance, payload, terrain, speed, and charging. Bus use adds passenger load and stops. Motorsport uses heat, endurance, or stint duty and power limits.Original car or applicable machine scene, pack location, and road/track context. Lead with trip or event energy, arrival charge, power peaks, sag, and temperature.
Micromobility
E-bike · e-scooter
Build a commute. Ask about rider/cargo mass, hills, distance, assistance, and the downtube, rack, or deck envelope.Chosen machine and its pack envelope. Lead with assisted range, hill demand, pack mass, fit, and charging needs.
Aviation
Drone · eVTOL
Plan the flight. Ask about payload, take-off, hover, cruise, landing, ambient conditions, and reserve. eVTOL adds diversion and low-charge landing power.Flight phases and the applicable aircraft scene. Lead with endurance, reserve, landing power, battery mass, and heat. An eVTOL 3D host is not verified in the inspected implementation.
Marine
milliAmpere1 · R/V Gunnerus
Choose a vessel and voyage. Expose propulsion duty, hotel loads, voyage duration, reserve, and shore charging.Original vessel scene and voyage context. Lead with arrival charge, propulsion/hotel energy split, power peaks, and charging. Gunnerus remains an explicitly labelled battery-study scenario around a diesel-electric vessel.
Robotics
AGV · humanoid · quadruped · vacuum
Define a work cycle. AGV: move/lift/idle/dock. Humanoid: walk/manipulate/stand. Quadruped: patrol/inspect/rest. Vacuum: clean/navigate/dock.Chosen robot and relevant work phases. Lead with runtime, completed work, current peaks, heat, and docking or swap intervals. Generic host scenes currently require the local runner.
Stationary
Solar storage · UPS · power station
Describe the loads. Solar uses generation and household demand. UPS uses protected load and outage duration. Portable power uses appliances, starting peaks, and carrying mass.Energy-flow and load profiles. Lead with backup duration, grid energy, unmet demand, power headroom, recharge windows, and cycling.
Consumer & tools
Power tool · wearable · RV
Define actual use. Tools use burst/rest duty; wearables use sleep/sense/transmit modes; RVs use appliances, overnight loads, solar, and shore supply.Relevant device and packaging context. Tool: sag and heat. Wearable: days between charges and fit. RV: daily energy and off-grid autonomy.
Refurbishment
22 exact donor records
Choose the exact donor and battery variant, record available constraints, and compare a replacement. Preserve identity throughout the workflow.Original detailed car model and before/after battery comparison. Lead with energy, mass, fit, voltage/current compatibility, cooling, and unresolved integration issues.

All rows describe the proposed experience, using existing application presets as the starting point. Each output must be connected to an appropriate supported model before it becomes a calculated result.

Existing editable starting requirements already differ

EV: 400 V / 60 kWh · E-bike: 48 V / 500 Wh · Drone: 22.2 V / 250 Wh · eVTOL: 700 V / 150 kWh · Home storage: 51.2 V / 10 kWh · Wearable: 3.7 V / 1.1 Wh.

These are class assumptions from the current preset catalog, not measured products or validated completed designs.

05 · THE GARAGE CATALOG

A compact chooser beside the original 3D model.

The revised local scope is 72 artist car entries, 2 boat studies, and 4 robot applications. Show family counts, compact searchable rows, and one selected-machine viewer. Keep the machine details and application-specific workflow beside the selection. Large empty cards and oversized icons should not consume the space needed for the model and useful specifications.

For cars, reuse the original Sketchfab model identifiers and viewer behavior, with creator credits and source links. Of the 72 source artist entries, 2 remain blocked and 70 are embed-eligible candidates; show a clear reason for blocked or unavailable models. Load at most one selected model, and provide a direct source link if it cannot load. These are exterior visual references, not validated engineering CAD or evidence of battery fit.

The 22 exact engineering donor records remain a separate, identified subset. Only a confirmed donor mapping should open a donor-specific engineering study; an exterior-only entry must not silently become a different car. Boat entries remain the two existing vessel studies, and robot entries remain application studies rather than four named commercial robot assets. The current Marine URL cannot encode a vessel ID, so its links must still explain the vessel selection inside the workspace.

The wider, unmerged showroom branch contains 172 vehicle contexts and adds 30 visual references beyond the retained 72 artist entries. Those broader research records and visual candidates are not all ready for this preview. Keep that expansion separate from the current 72-car selector, and do not present record counts as counts of verified 3D models.

06 · RESTORE THE ORIGINAL 3D EXPERIENCE

Recover the artist viewer; repair Godot separately.

  1. Reuse the existing detailed artist showroom. Its source route is artist-car-gallery/, with selection carried by ?car=<id>. Reuse its original asset IDs, blocked-entry handling, creator attribution, and single selected Sketchfab iframe. The branch also supplies tools/build-refurbishment-showroom.mjs for packaging the complete original gallery and its canonical engine dependencies.
  2. Verify the selected model in the local preview. Check an original car and a car from the 50-entry expansion, model switching, orbit/zoom, mobile layout, keyboard access, and recoverable loading failure. Confirm that two blocked entries cannot launch. Recorded source QA is useful evidence, but it is not a current rendering test.
  3. Repair the separate Godot deployment. Build its existing car and vessel scenes from a matching revision and deliver the export with all runtime files. The current distribution builder treats that export as optional, and the Pages path has a large-file limitation. Verify the actual deployment route and runtime requirements before release.
  4. Keep each integration’s boundaries explicit. The hosted artist model is a visual reference; the Godot scene and engineering calculation have their own identities and capabilities. Preserve source versions, loading policy, required CSP and origin checks, and distinguish inspection, recorded playback, and solver-connected interaction.

The local preview restores access to source artist-viewer candidates. Current model rendering remains an acceptance check. Production Godot repair remains outstanding, and this proposal does not deploy either system.

07 · IMPLEMENTATION SHAPE

Share the engine. Make application context explicit.

08 · DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE

Restore, differentiate, then extend.

OrderDeliverableEvidence needed to finish
1 · Recover the showroomCompact selection of 72 artist car entries, 2 boat studies, and 4 robot applications, retaining the selected-machine details and original car viewer.Catalog totals and filters agree with source records. A selected original car and a car from the 50-entry expansion visibly render; switching leaves only one iframe. Credits and source links remain visible, 2 blocked car entries cannot launch, and loading failures have a usable fallback. The 22 engineering donor mappings remain distinct.
2 · Repair Godot deliveryThe separate existing car/vessel runtime on its intended production route.A named car and vessel render from the delivered export, scene switching is correct, and missing runtime files produce a recoverable message. This is separate from artist-viewer acceptance.
3 · DifferentiateApplication-specific setup, context, mission, and result priorities. All 20 application starters carry correct requirements and compatible pack state. Wearable → EV → marine → e-bike switching cannot retain accidental stale state. Eight categories and all robot subtypes are visibly distinct.
4 · Preserve the studyReliable machine/mission/pack context across the workflow.Saved projects reopen the selected machine and edited mission. Boat selection survives transitions. Dirty-state handling prevents silent loss of work.
5 · Extend interactionDriving, flight, or task controls only where backed by a suitable model.Commands actually reach the solver; timing, units, numerical response, and operating limits are tested. Recorded playback and live simulation remain clearly identified.

The local preview demonstrates the compact catalog, original hosted car-viewer integration, and differentiated presentation. Its rendering checks must be recorded separately from production acceptance. It does not deploy the broader branch, rebuild Godot, or add new simulation capabilities. Start production integration with one confirmed donor journey and one contrasting application, then extend the shared pattern across the registry.

09 · BENEFITS AND COSTS

A coherent product with visible engineering depth.

Benefits

  • Visitors can discover existing machines without knowing internal tool names.
  • Each application gives a clear reason to continue and asks relevant questions.
  • The original 3D investment remains central to the experience.
  • A common engine, components, and theme reduce duplication.
  • Explicit availability avoids promising unsupported scenes or live control.

Costs and trade-offs

  • Application-specific content needs an owner and ongoing coverage checks.
  • A compact catalog needs fast, accessible filters and clear selection state.
  • Hosted artist previews depend on the provider and each model’s availability; Godot has separate artifact delivery and versioning work.
  • More tailored screens increase state-transition and regression-test coverage.
  • Live driving or flight interaction is a separate engineering project, beyond presentation changes.

Recommendation: retain one Design island and a common advanced workbench, recover the original detailed artist showroom with a compact selector, repair Godot separately, and build application-specific entry and mission experiences around the existing engine.

SOURCE BASIS

Implementation evidence

The existing designer inspection used battery-design revision f15d6b19bfcd9c34b275f2a6ad1dd004aacb75c0; the live Godot renderer failure was reproduced on 25 October 2026. The larger artist showroom was recovered from branch codex/showroom-50-detailed-cars at commit 087eabe7963ed6d45db8aead937a9fb1fa7cea3d. PR #149 remains open and unmerged at inspection. The Tesla Model 3 and BMW i4 were rendered in the revised local preview on 25 October 2026. BMW orbit was also checked in the original hosted viewer. These representative checks do not establish that every external model is available or grant production acceptance.
