Lemonergy Roadster Physics Lab — 18 October 2026

Original Lemonergy use-case interface, continuous showcase trajectory and native block model. The realistic second-generation Tesla Roadster exterior is by metarex.4d under CC BY 4.0; see assets/CREDITS.md. The complete event was independently authored for this page; no visual presentation or trajectory code was copied from the shared references.

Public entry: https://lemonergy.com/labs/roadster/. Companion quantitative study: https://lemonergy.com/studies/roadster/. Supporting files remain under /wiki/roadster-physics/ so existing module imports and source links stay stable. The build creates redirects from the old page entry. Existing dependencies are /vendor/three.module.min.js, /wiki/workbench/diagram.js and /wiki/workbench/js/*.js, and the unchanged native core /wiki/workbench/wasm/battery_design_core.wasm.

Extract this archive at the root of that source layout. Run node --test tests/roadster-use-case.test.mjs. Refresh wiki-release-manifest.json and run the repository publication gate: node --test tests/*.test.mjs, node tools/build-site.mjs, git diff --check. Serve dist/ with a normal static server over HTTPS or localhost.

The first view is a deterministic 14 s engineering reconstruction of approach, climb up the bend, wall and top bend of a ramp whose profile is read from Tesla's "The Ramp | Roadster" film (estimates: 7 m bends, 5.5 m wall, 12 m ceiling 19.5 m up, 3.4 m deck), fully inverted hold under the ceiling with the nose at the lip, seal release, free flight, 180-degree body roll, landing burn, touchdown and rollout. Both tyres are placed on the ramp surface at every instant; on the two bends the body rises up to 11.5 cm on its suspension so the model's low splitter clears the deck. It is a synchronized co-simulation layer, not the companion Engineering Study's native six-degree-of-freedom vehicle/contact solution. Below it are four independent native experiments: surface adhesion, vertical lift, balanced airborne roll and compressor refill. Each uses 79 existing native blocks. Current, voltage, ohmic heat, charge and gas inventory are native outputs. Per-part inspectors are drawn from the actual graph nodes and connections.

The first screen automatically plays the complete continuous vehicle event. Its live HUD exposes contact reaction, suction, thrust, roll couple, power, gas and vehicle state. The explanation and seven ordered checkpoints then lead into inspecting and reproducing each native Lemonergy subsystem. The page uses the neutral Lemonergy wiki palette and explicitly cache-busts the mobile layout.

Motion validity: adhesion is a static check. Flight playback ends at first sampled return to the reference ground plane. The native Ground-contact block provides numerical settling in the exported graph, but later settling points are excluded from the displayed flight and are not physical collision predictions. This model does not solve body collisions, landing feasibility, six-axis attitude, tank-pressure decay or measured battery behavior. Read the page for the complete model boundary.

License: AGPL-3.0-or-later for the new source files. Existing dependencies retain their licenses; Three.js is MIT. The Roadster exterior is a credited third-party asset, not production CAD or measured Tesla telemetry. GLTFLoader, DRACOLoader, BufferGeometryUtils and RoomEnvironment are Three.js r160 (MIT). The Draco decoder is Apache-2.0. Their notices ship in vendor/.

Reproduce with Lemonergy blocks

The free page includes a five-stage native graph builder. It installs the actual
79 block records and all 92 connections, then sends that assembled graph to the
existing Rust/Wasm engine. Each stage exposes the exact parameters, output
quantity and destination input ports. The downloadable HTML recipe includes
all stages, solver settings, component provenance and reference run values.

Download a native .lemon.json file and choose Reopen model & run to compute
fresh results. The bounded importer accepts these four lab models, verifies
their blocks/wiring/solver against the supported input contract, and resolves
component provenance again from pinned parts. It does not replay saved results.
Same-input reruns compare seven metrics; the tests also compare every native
output at every displayed time after assembly, export and import.

Manual graph editing in Simulation Studio requires catalog 2026.10.1 with the
Vehicle/Math blocks. The main Designer branch was still on 2026.09.1 at review;
this change does not merge or deploy the separate Studio upgrade. The free
page supplies the working assembly and reproduction path without that upgrade.

Additional verification: node --test tests/roadster-reproduction.test.mjs.
The actual module worker is exercised with reopened native model files.
Local visual browser QA was unavailable in the managed environment.

Public route and presentation overlay (18 October 2026): https://lemonergy.com/wiki/downloads/roadster-pages-source-20261018.zip
Apply this overlay after the original lab source archive. It contains the current app entry, both page introductions, public route builder, navigation styles, social-card sources and route tests. Settings and results are not automatically exchanged between the two models.

Playback maintenance, 18 October 2026: the complete 14 s event has an optional loop. Native experiment playback still stops at its physical end event. Switching tabs pauses the playback clock and resumes it without advancing hidden time; manual pauses remain paused. Record car video captures the existing scene canvas with MediaRecorder (MP4 where supported, WebM otherwise); it adds no new footage, geometry, motion or artwork. Cancelled recordings are discarded.
